OLD ROCK ISLAND RAILROAD DEPOT JUST AQUIRED!
The Rock Island Railroad went right between the Iron Horse and the old Depot. It brought steam engines here to be repaired on the 6 foot deep concrete floor. The old depot was built in 1855 and is in exceptional condition. In front is a huge Sycamore tree dedicated to an engineer and planted in 1922. We are excited about restoring and using this historic building.
